The Association can be traced back to 1902 and most probably is the oldest Royal Navy Association which is dedicated to a Branch of the Royal Navy.

Unique in its constitution, the RNGIA has to have a serving member of the Royal Navy as its President, which keeps the RNGIA intouch with the serving members of the Royal Navy and The Royal Navy.

As an association we aim to provide a:

• Clubhouse for our members at HMS Excellent, which is used for Various Social Events.
• Regular Monthly Meetings.
• A contact Point through the association.
• A monthly Magazine in snail mail or email form which really keeps people intouch.
